“There’s a lot to see and it’s in very high densities,” said marine ecologist Matt Edmunds.
However, Dr Edmunds thinks Pope’s Eye the oldest marine sanctuary and one of the world-renowned diving and snorkeling site is on a par with the Great Barrier Reef.
The fish were so great in number, Dr could barely mark down the species. There are around 20 seaweed species were recorded – ot bad for a sandy patch of the bay.
